This is official description
PIC Simulator IDE is powerful application that supplies PIC developers with user-friendly graphical development environment for Windows with integrated simulator (emulator), Basic compiler, assembler, disassembler and debugger.PIC Simulator IDE has a main simulation interface showing internal microcontroller architecture, microcontroller pinout interface for simulation of digital I/O and analog inputs, variable simulation rate, simulation statistics and much more
The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 6.6
PIC Simulator IDE is a tool which provides users with features such as emulator, basic compiler, assembler, disassemble and debugger. These functions are available in a user friendly graphical interface.
The program helps the user to view the internal microcontroller architecture. It has features such as FLASH program memory editor, variable simulation rate and a powerful PIC basic compiler. It features code debugging using breakpoints manager. The program is featured in three data types i.e., 1-bit, 1-byte, 2-byte and 4-byte that supports 32-bit arithmetic. To solve the purpose of proper communication with other devices it features a PC’s serial port terminal. It is bundled with many signal generator simulation tools along with an Oscilloscope. The program has many color themes to make it user-friendly. It supports external simulation modules and extensive program options.
The users can find great improvements than its earlier version. It is easy to use and helps in quick PIC programming. The free upgrades and additional features have made the program a bundle of utilities. The basic compiler saves a lot of time as it is very powerful. It can be fairly easy to operate even for a novice.
Powerful, easy to operate, quick processing
Complicated for first time users

What's new in version 6.9
The new version has a new option in the Options menu: Optimize Program Memory Paging. More info about this important new feature in the Reference Manual, changed the way LOOKUP statement is compiled, HSEROPEN statement will accept all baud rates in the range 100-200000; appropriate warning line will be generated, if necessary; ALLOW_ALL_BAUDRATES discontinued, Software serial communication statements will accept all baud rates in the range 100-60000; appropriate warning line will be generated, if necessary, Software UART Simulation Interface: All baud rates in the range 100-60000 can be accepted with the new Other option; improved simulation of received bits, assemble and load command will stop the simulation if running, new option in the Options menu: Optimize Variables Declaration, several major and minor bugs from the previous release fixed, several small and/or invisible improvements and much more
I find this software to be extremely powerful and certainly one of the best values I have
encountered. I was honestly surprised when I saw the capabilities and the price tag (don't raise the price!!)
and as a beginning pic programmer this program enabled me to quickly write code for many
applications which I would otherwise find myself mired in assembly. Here I can get a good feel for the language along with writing code. exceptional value. Surprised no one else has caught on. Great package. thanks
